Is The Film Cult a charity?

We are not a charity, but our activities are not-for-profit. All profits are reinvested in our mission, not shared with investors or their agendas. We are not here to uphold the status quo and that is what separates us from other film charities. The space film charities offer for creativity and upskilling are great, however, unfortunately end when the industry does not continue this practice. We recognise the futility in training for a broken industry without a longer term solution.

Is The Film Cult a production company?

We are not a production company although we have a production wing. We are focused on facilitating healthy filmmaking and sometimes that takes the form of us running productions.

How is this funded?

The majority of our activities are to be crowdfunded by believers in our mission. We also apply for and receive funding grants although with great caution over the strings attached. We will not accept money that requires us to compromise our goals, values or mission.
